We are committed to being an active member of the community by sponsoring educational outreach programs, participating in neighborhood events, and supporting local non-profits. On this page, you will find events presented at our stores and events were we are participating as a sponsor or exhibitor.

Numbers Are In

As part of the special Unleashed weekend, Healthy Pets Northwest together with the other participating businesses raised $4,000 for the DoveLewis Pet Loss Support Program. That amounts to 10% of all the revenue generated by the whole event. Thanks to everyone who stopped by a Healthy Pets Northwest store to support the fund-raiser.

Doggie Dash 2008
May 10, Portland Waterfront Park

Healthy Pets Northwest will be on hand for this fun event to raise money for the Oregon Humane Society.

Run or walk in this 2-mile course with or without your dog. After the Dash, stay around for music, food, doggie talent contests, and much more! 100% of registration fees and sponsorships go directly to OHS.

Rubi Sullivan of Heal

Massage is a great way to maintain your dog’s health and well-being by reducing stiffness, increasing circulation and clearing out the muscle tissue. Learn the fundamentals of effective pet massage from a certified expert. Seating is limited and a pre-paid $35 space reservation is required. Contact our Alberta store to register.

9th Annual Alberta Art Hop

Come on Out and Join the Parade!

This is a great street festival where artists and residents will demonstrate, using various original art forms from visual arts to fashion, what the Alberta arts district means as a community. We'll have a booth outside our Alberta store handing out free treats and other goodies for festival goers and their pets.

The parade starts at 3 pm, so dress up your dog, child, bike and yourself and come out and joint us.

First Friday, April 4
Greyhound Adoption

Karen Embler of the Oregon Greyhound Association at our Multnomah Village store with three beautiful greyhounds that are looking for homes. The dogs are from left to right: Heaven (female), Dreams (female) and Emperor (male). Good news, Emperor was recently adopted.

Michael loved visiting with the dogs. He hopes you get more information about these dogs, or other greyhounds that need a good home, by contacting the Oregon Greyhound Association at 503-665-9741 or 503-740-9716 or going to the Oregon Greyhound Association web site.
